Beach weddings have become very popular in Coastal North Carolina and I'm sure elsewhere. If you have your heart set on getting married during peak season such as May through September on the beach, which is a main tourist season as well as wedding season, it may be easier to book your restaurant, DJ, and photographer on Fridays and Sundays instead of Saturdays unless your planning eighteen months ahead.
Photography is a very important part of your wedding experience, for this is where all of your planning for that perfect day, and those special memories is recorded. There are things you can do to help make sure, your images portray the emotion and story telling characteristics of your wedding day.
- First decide on a budget for photography.
- Figure out how much time you will need your photographer for. Keep in mind that a good portion of the photographer's fee is based on the amount of time spent at your wedding.
- Choose a photographer not solely by price, but by the quality of the work, personality of the photographer, photography style, and flexibility.
- Don't look for the lowest price around, you could end up with the lowest quality around.
- Try not to schedule your ceremony between 10:00am and 2:00pm. The better times on the beach is before 9:00am or after 3:00pm., best time is between 6:00pm and 8:00pm depending on the month.
- You might want to pay attention to tides in conjunction with beach location., after all you don't want to stand in the water during the ceremony, unless that's your plan.
- Ask to see how much equipment your photographer will bring to your wedding. A professional photographer should have at the least Three professional cameras, three flash units, and lots of accessories at your wedding. Equipment failure with no back up could be costly.
- In today's digital photography a good professional photographer will spend money on the best software for processing and enhancing images. Ask to see images before and after enhancement.
